The Portland Naturalist's Forum meets on the last Monday of each month and features different natural history topics and presenters. The Forum's purpose is provide opportunities for those interested in natural history to come together, share information, show collections and photographs, arrange outings, or just enjoy a program. (The first meeting of this group took place on Monday evening, September 30, at Maine Audubon's Gilsland Farm Environmental Center in Falmouth.)
"We are establishing this forum in the spirit of Maine Audubon's predecessor, the Portland Society of Natural History," said MAS director Thomas Urquhart. "We want to provide the opportunities once more for naturalists in the Portland area to share their interests with one another," he said. Please plan to join us this year.
